THE PROOF IS IN THE ECONOMIC PUDDING 1

It is incumbent on every Australian who has a love of his country and real concern for the future of his children and grandchildren, to now quietly but firmly demand of our political leaders, the right to have a real say in the future of Australia.

Put simply, Globalisation is not working, has not worked for 20 years, and will never be capable of working in the best interests of Australians.

The U.S.A. based centre for Economic Policy Research reports that globalisation has stowed world growth over the past 20 years, with collective economic losses directly attributable to Globalisation De regulation across 61 nations of almost $US15 Trillion.

This finding by U.S.A. based C.E.P.R. seriously brings into question the credibility of the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the World Trade Organisation, the U.S. Treasury, and possibly the United Nations.

To put this in perspective, Australia's net worth is $A2 Trillion ($A2000 000 000 000) and our foreign debt approaches $A300 Billion ($A300 000 000 000) borrowed from off shore (foreign) capital markets.

Australia pays $A100 Million Dollars a day in repayments.

This situation allows foreign capital markets to easily manipulate our currency.

It is a mystery to all thinking Australians why successive governments refuse to allow Australian's $A600 Billion in superannuation funds to be used by an Australian Bank to replace [sic] this foreign debt.

Use of our own money would save us $A100 Million per day, and allow us to finance our new ideas and our growth.

Our current government is no different to the Fraser, Hawke, or Keating Government and will be no different to a possible Beazley [sic] Government, for our past and present and possible future political leaders are all demonstrably pro-globalisation to the utter detriment of ordinary Australians.

Australians must understand that their Federal Government and to a slightly lesser extent our State Governments, do not represent their views, for our policy is dictated by foreign transnational corporations.

Mr Michael Camdessus, Governor of the International Monetary Fund, publicly told John Howard to bring in a GST after Howard said 'Nevernever would Australia have a GST'.

This clearly demonstrates the power of transnational Corporations who wanted a GST so that they could continue to pay little or no tax.

In tax year 1996-7 the ABS reports total tax revenue $A124 Billion of which Australians paid $A115 Billion and foreign corporations paid $A9 Billion, where foreign corporations owned nearly half of Australia's non

financial corporations and almost a third of all stock in publicly listed companies, in all a total of $A1 Trillion or about half of Australia's worth.

So where does this leave you, the Australian citizen?

Currently Attorney General Darryl Williams [sic] and Amanda Vanstone are mooting a new ID card, which may well incorporate your DNA sample and a Retina scan imbedded in a chip, and will possibly be linked to a satellite tracking system.

Meanwhile Queensland Transport Minister Steve Bredhauer is mooting a bar code tracking system for your car on the pretence of user pays registration fees.

Also the States are putting in place anti-vilification laws (Victoria has it Queensland in process) which are easily capable of putting an end to freedom of speech.

It is ominous the Amanda Vanstone (ABC 7.30 report 23/03/01) implied that pensioners [sic] should consider themselves lucky to live in a country which still allows people to hold an alternative view.

The Federal Government is poised to ratify a U.N. treaty originally signed on 09/12/98 that would make Australians subject to the rulings of an international court.

PM Howard described the BHP-Billiton deal as "Marvellous" [sic] when the simple fact is Australia has just kissed goodbye to a company which historically and strategically was the most important one we

owned, but what else could he say, for the unfillable gap in our current account means we have to keep selling our water, power and now Brambles just to stay afloat.

The decades long embrace of Globalisation and the absolute myth of free international markets have all but extinguished any claim Australians have to National Sovereignty.

The forces of Globalisation will not be satisfied until they change our flag, make us into a Republic under a benign dictatorship which will strip all of us of our democracy, heritage and sovereignty, while still promising a better and more prosperous life.

Australian's standing on the edge of the abyss, we should have confidence and the foresight to fight for our rights and our heritage.

Australia has almost every known resource in abundance, and we are more than capable of being self sufficient and rebuilding manufacturing.

Let us now quietly and confidently show the world what the Australian spirit is made of by rejecting the myths of Globalisation, rebuilding our Nation, buying back the farm, insisting on our rights, freedoms, choices and sovereignty being fully restored and then and only then [sic] attend honestly to our responsibilities and place in the world.
