In 1996-97 Whitlam used $350,000 in one single year!  If this figure is multiplied by the number of years in retirement since he was sacked by the Governor General, the figure is huge!! He was dismissed in 1975 and up to 2001, he has been retired for some 26 years!

OF COURSE THESE FIGURES ARE PURELY HYPOTHETICAL AS ONE GEOFFREY ROBERTSON IS FOND OF SAYING...BUT PROBABLY NOT TOO FAR OFF THE MARK!

Therefore 26 years multiplied by $350,000 equals....

$ 9,100,000 (NINE MILLION and ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS!)

OVER THAT 26 YEAR PERIOD AT A WAGE OF SAY $20,000 divided into $9,100,000 produces a FIGURE that could EMPLOY 455 KIDS OR 17 YOUNG PEOPLE at $20,000 from $350,000 PER YEAR!!

RODNEY SAYS:  “…..BRILLIANT GOUGH!” “JASON POLLACK’S PAINTING “BLUE POLES” WAS A GOOD BUY FOR $3,000,000!!”

$3,000,000 on a bloody painting that looks the same even when it is hung upside down…..

THE $3,000,000 paid for Gough's painting would have created 142 jobs for our kids!!

Gough Whitlam and his LABOR PARTY COMRADES are little less than a band of SOCIALIST REDNECKS..... throwing our money around and nothing to stop them! John Howard was given the opportunity but the same dead end...... again, a bit of window dressing.... nothing major!
